What is "Microblading" ?
Microblading, (also known as eyebrow embroidery, 3D brows, feather stroke, hair stroke tattoo and microstroking) is a form of permanent make up, done specifically to the eyebrow area, with the purpose of enhancing, reshaping or creating new eyebrows. Microblading is done by implanting pigment in the skin, using a disposable, hand held tool. This pencil like tool has a "blade" tip, made out of very fine needles, and assists a trained artist in making precise and very fine cuts into the skin, resembling eyebrow hair.
It is important to understand that even though microblading fits under the category of permanent cosmetics, because the pigment is placed under the skin and it doesn't washes off, the results are not permanent. The pigment it's placed in the superficial layers of the skin, to ensure precision, and those layers of skin will exfoliate over time, due to normal skin renewal. Also pigment it is designed to fade over time. Fading is desired, because it allows the artist to make changes in color and shape, over the years, as client's facial features and coloration changes, as well as the fashion trends change too.
What is "Powder brows"?
Powder brows is a permanent makeup procedure for eyebrows, where the same principles are applied like in microblading, but with powder brows the pigment is applied in the shape of little dots in between the hairs.
This procedure can be done in combination with microblading, for those clients with very little or no eyebrow hair, or on it's own for clients that are satisfied with the overhaul shape of their eyebrows and prefer fuller look.
This procedure gives the illusion that eyebrows are filled in with makeup.

How long does the microblading procedure takes? What should I expect during the procedure ?
Microblading is a two step process, 4-6 weeks apart. It is important to complete both steps, the initial treatment and touch up, to ensure optimal results.
